Energy drink brand Red Bull has introduced the Red Bull Advent Calendar for 2026, rolling out a 24-can seasonal variety pack across retail channels in the United States.
Commercially available from 28 September 2026 while production runs last, the limited-edition pack marks a new configuration distinct from the brand's 2025 release. The countdown format houses 24 individual 8.4-fluid-ounce (approx. 250ml) cans, combining core energy drinks, sugar-free options, and flavoured Editions, anchored by an exclusive seasonal flavour reintroduction.
The launch adapts the traditional festive countdown calendar into the functional beverage fixture, positioning energy drinks within fourth-quarter seasonal gifting and pantry-stocking occasions.
Flavour Assortment and Pack-Exclusive Arctic Berry
The 2026 advent calendar incorporates a variety of taste profiles, pairing core stock-keeping units with seasonal limited editions:
❄️ Red Bull Festive Edition Arctic Berry: A winter flavour profile delivering notes of frosty raspberry, originally introduced as the 2020 Red Bull Winter Edition and returning as a calendar-exclusive SKU for the 2026 holiday period.
🍏 Red Bull Apple Edition: The brand's crisp apple flavour variant, integrated alongside regular flavoured Editions.
⚡ Red Bull Energy Drink and Sugarfree: Core original and sugar-free formulations, sweetened with sugar or non-sugar alternatives.
Each 8.4-fluid-ounce can in the assortment supplies 80 milligrams of caffeine, consistent with the brand's standard single-serve beverage architecture.
Digital Gamification and Consumer Engagement
To bridge physical packaging with digital brand touchpoints, Red Bull has integrated an interactive promotional layer into the 2026 calendar.
The exterior packaging features a scannable QR code directing consumers to a dedicated holiday-themed mini-game hosted on RedBull.com. The browser-based game challenges users to sort virtual gifts against a timer to compete on a digital leaderboard and enter promotional sweepstakes for festive prizes.
The digital component is designed to sustain recurring daily consumer interaction across the multi-week countdown period leading into the holiday trading window.
Distribution
The Red Bull Advent Calendar is rolling out across nationwide retail networks, securing placement across grocery, mass merchandise, club stores, convenience forecourts, and digital e-commerce.
Retail distribution encompasses:
Mass and Club Formats: Costco, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart.
Supermarkets and Regional Grocers: Albertsons, H-E-B, and Meijer.
Convenience and Forecourts: 7-Eleven, Circle K, and QuikTrip.
Pharmacy, Speciality, and E-Commerce: CVS, Walgreens, Lowe's, and Amazon.
By securing distribution across both volume wholesale clubs and high-frequency convenience networks, Red Bull creates multi-channel access for a high-unit-count variety pack, capturing holiday shoppers across planned bulk purchases and impulse gifting missions.
