Hormel Foods brand Planters has announced the commercial rollout of its 2026 autumn product lineup, introducing new seasonal flavour variations alongside an expansion of its premium Special Reserve platform.
Entering retail channels throughout August and September 2026, the short-run platform features the debut of Maple Brown Sugar Almonds alongside the return of Apple Cider Doughnut Cashews. Concurrently, the manufacturer is expanding its single-origin Special Reserve Peanuts into a larger 34 oz club-store format.
The product introduction targets expanding consumer demand for indulgent, seasonal flavour profiles and high-protein snacking options during late-summer and autumn retail trading periods.
Seasonal Flavour Formulations
The 2026 autumn range introduces sweet and savoury seasoning profiles across roasted almond and kettle-roasted cashew formats.
The seasonal SKU lineup features:
🍁 Maple Brown Sugar Almonds: A new 15.25 oz seasonal option featuring roasted almonds coated in maple and brown sugar seasoning.

Patrick Horbas, Marketing Director for the Planters brand, stated that autumn flavour profiles drive consumer interest in premium snack nuts, adding that the seasonal portfolio combines familiar comfort flavours with protein-dense formats.
Special Reserve Lineup Expansion
Alongside its seasonal flavoured range, Planters is expanding its high-tier Special Reserve product line to capture higher average basket values during autumn entertaining occasions.
Sourced from a single Virginia grower, the Special Reserve range utilises small-batch roasting and hand-salting processing methods:
🥜 Special Reserve Peanuts 34 oz: A new large-capacity shareable pack size engineered for multi-serving household purchasing and seasonal social gatherings.
🥜 Special Reserve Peanuts 13 oz: The core single-origin Virginia peanut SKU returning for its third consecutive year.
Gillian Lozak, Associate Brand Manager for the Planters brand, noted that the Special Reserve line continues to establish a premium tier within the snack nut category, supporting year-on-year category growth.
Retail Distribution
The autumn collection is deploying across a multi-channel retail footprint spanning mass grocery, club stores, and e-commerce platforms.
The commercial rollout timeline encompasses:
Mass Retail Window: Maple Brown Sugar Almonds and Apple Cider Doughnut Cashews are entering physical retail stockists nationwide from mid-August through September, including Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Publix, and Ahold.
E-Commerce Placement: Both seasonal SKUs are available immediately via Amazon.
Club Store Expansion: The 34 oz Special Reserve Peanuts will launch exclusively on Sam's Club e-commerce in early October, while the 13 oz format returns to Amazon starting 18 August 2026.
