Global IT service provider FPT Corporation and Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) have commenced six strategic artificial intelligence transformation programmes.
The initiatives are designed to accelerate the adoption of AI across C.P. Vietnam's integrated "Feed - Farm - Food" value chain.
The partnership builds upon a strategic cooperation agreement finalised between FPT and CPF at the Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum 2026. Witnessed by Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at a ceremony in Hanoi, the collaborative venture represents a significant technology partnership between the two nations, focused on driving innovation-led efficiency in the regional agricultural sector.
The phased rollout will introduce practical AI applications across several operational departments to enhance productivity, standardise raw material processing, and support sustainable resource management.
The Agri-Food AI Initiatives
To systematically modernise its integrated business model, C.P. Vietnam and FPT will collaborate on the development and deployment of six core functional initiatives:
🎓 AI Employee Training – Implementing structured educational and upskilling programmes to train C.P. Vietnam employees on utilising advanced artificial intelligence tools.
💬 Livestock Disease Consultation – Developing automated consultation systems designed to provide real-time agricultural advice and diagnostic assistance to local livestock farmers.
📹 Intelligent Camera Monitoring – Deploying computer-vision solutions to monitor farm conditions, enhance animal welfare tracking, and ensure operational safety.
🔍 Raw Material Quality Inspection – Utilising image-recognition algorithms to automate and standardise quality control checks for agricultural feed ingredients.
🧪 Digital Feed Mixing Management – Implementing digital tools to manage feed prescriptions, optimising nutrient blends and reducing production waste.
📊 Sales Network Management – Developing data-driven sales management solutions to support and coordinate regional dealer distribution networks.
Structured AI Framework and Technology Foundations
To support the transition from early pilot projects to scaled, enterprise-wide execution, FPT is applying its proprietary five-level AI transformation framework, FPT CASAN:
Curious – Initial exploration of AI potential.
Augmented – Introducing AI tools to assist manual workflows.
Standard – Setting unified corporate guidelines for AI usage.
Automatic – Implementing automated background AI processes.
Native – Fully integrating artificial intelligence as a core operational capability.
The software infrastructure will be built on FleziPT, FPT’s end-to-end AI development platform. To manage the high-capacity computing requirements of the agricultural model, FPT will leverage its dedicated AI Factories in Japan and Vietnam, alongside its global network of over 30,000 specialised AI-augmented engineers.
According to Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan, agriculture must evolve through digital integration to maintain profitability and resilience. He noted that embedding predictive and autonomous capabilities directly into processing and farming workflows allows operators to make faster, data-driven decisions while safeguarding environmental resources.
Bilateral Economic Ties and Regional Growth
Thailand remains a critical regional hub for FPT's expansion within the Asia-Pacific region, with its established trade network servicing major corporate partners across banking, insurance, retail, and manufacturing. Through its position as a co-founder of the Vietnam–Thailand Chamber of Commerce, the technology firm continues to support bilateral digital innovation.
CPF, which has maintained an active production footprint in Vietnam for 33 years, intends to use the digital infrastructure to strengthen food traceability and supply chain security across Southeast Asia.
Montri Suwanposri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at C.P. Vietnam, stated that integrating AI into the "Feed - Farm - Food" model allows the agribusiness to elevate food safety standards while improving the efficiency of local farming networks.
The dual-phase implementation roadmap is scheduled to begin immediately, focusing on securing raw data and cloud infrastructure before scaling the tested AI software across national processing and distribution networks.
