Nestlé has expanded its Nescafé frothy coffee portfolio with the introduction of two new products inspired by its confectionery range. The launch is designed to meet consumer demand for cafe-style coffee solutions at home, leveraging existing brand recognition to drive category engagement.
This release follows a £28 million investment at Nestlé’s Dalston factory in Cumbria. The capital expenditure has increased production capacity and introduced process improvements, enabling the business to accelerate its product development and manufacturing output.
Products
The new range integrates established confectionery profiles into the Nescafé frothy coffee line, following the success of previous confectionery-inspired developments.
🍫 Nescafé KitKat White Flavour Latte: Incorporates the flavour profile of KitKat White with Nescafé coffee.
🦁 Nescafé Lion Flavour Mocha: Blends the chocolate profile associated with the Lion brand into a frothy mocha coffee format.

Manufacturing and Operational Focus
The investment at the Dalston facility represents a commitment to maintaining production capabilities within the UK. According to the manufacturer, the factory upgrades have enhanced operational efficiency, increased output, and improved the recyclability of packaging materials.
The site’s expanded capabilities are intended to support Nestlé's broader strategy of driving growth through innovation and brand collaboration. By shortening the lead time between development and market entry, the company aims to respond more effectively to shifting consumer preferences within the coffee category.
The two new products are currently being distributed to retailers nationwide.
