Functional nutrition enterprise Naked Earth has announced the commercial launch of its ceremonial-grade cacao ritual packets, introducing a single-serve blend designed as a jitter-free alternative to traditional coffee.

Developed over a twelve-month research phase by founders Alyna and Elliot Rivera, the product enters the fast-growing functional beverage category to capture rising consumer demand for caffeine alternatives and digestive-friendly energy formulations.

Formulation and Ingredients

Each 35-gram packet features an organic, sugar-free, vegan, and gluten-free formulation designed to be prepared hot or iced. The recipe combines ceremonial-grade cacao with functional fats and botanicals engineered to avoid digestive discomfort.

The core ingredient deck across the single-serve pouches includes:

🍫 Ethically Sourced Cacao: Sourced via direct-trade partnerships with smallholder farms across Central America and Africa.

🥥 MCT Coconut Oil: Integrated medium-chain triglycerides formulated to assist sustained energy release and digestive tolerance.

🌿 Cardamom and Rose: Botanical infusions added to provide sensory balance to the natural cacao profile.

🍦 Vanilla and Sea Salt: Pure vanilla and mineral sea salt incorporated to balance mouthfeel and flavour.

🌻 Sunflower Lecithin: Added as a natural emulsifier to maintain texture and liquid integration.

Elliot Rivera, Co-Founder of Naked Earth, stated that the formulation was developed to deliver high-grade ceremonial cacao in a daily, convenient format without compromising on sourcing standards or quality parameters.

The product introduction aligns with shifting consumer habits as individuals seek focus-enhancing beverages without the sensory crashes or jitters associated with high-caffeine intake.

The brand highlights research published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, which demonstrated that daily consumption of high-dose cocoa polyphenols over a 30-day period resulted in higher self-reported levels of calmness and contentedness compared to placebo trials.

Sustainable Packaging

The product platform incorporates sustainable material specifications from initial production through to distribution:

  • Biodegradable Material: The squeeze packets are manufactured using industrially biodegradable packaging materials to reduce single-use plastic waste.

  • Direct-Trade Sourcing: The enterprise maintains direct-trade supply chains with agricultural producers in Central America and Africa, adhering to beyond-fair-trade principles.

  • Community Contribution: The business allocates US$1 from every unit sold to support the Boruca indigenous community and local development initiatives in Costa Rica.

Distribution and B2B Wholesale

Naked Earth Ceremonial Cacao Packs have commenced commercial availability directly through the brand's primary e-commerce web platform at a retail price of US$65 per six-count box of 35-gram servings.

To support expansion into foodservice, hospitality, and speciality retail channels, the enterprise is concurrently onboarding commercial wholesale accounts upon request.
