Meat snack manufacturer Link Snacks has expanded its Jack Link's portfolio with the introduction of Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Stick Multipacks alongside a new line of LiL' Links Mini Stick Multipacks.
The launch introduces 10-count multipacks of 0.92-ounce (approx. 26g) grass-fed beef sticks, alongside three-count and six-count configurations of miniature meat snack sticks. The products are formulated to provide verified sourcing attributes, including 100% grass-fed beef and antibiotic-free poultry, at price points positioned approximately 20% below comparable premium category competitors.
The commercial rollout targets expanding retail demand for portable, protein-dense snacks, arriving as consumer purchasing increasingly favours whole-food protein formats over synthetic powders and processed bars.
"Consumers shouldn't have to choose between quality, nutrition and affordability," said Lori David, Vice President of Integrated Marketing at Link Snacks.
"Too many brands have convinced people that 'premium' means paying more. We don't buy that. With our new Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Stick Multipacks, families get 100% grass-fed and finished beef, high-quality ingredients and real protein at a price that's roughly 20% lower than many well-known competitors. We're proving that better meat snacks don't have to come with a premium price tag."
Grass-Fed Beef Sticks and Flavour Assortment
The 10-count Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Stick line is built around 100% grass-fed and finished cattle sourcing, delivering 8 grams of protein per 0.92-ounce portion.
The assortment rolls out across three established savoury flavour profiles:
🥩 Original: The brand's signature slow-cooked hardwood smoke and seasoning profile.
🥢 Teriyaki: A sweet-and-savoury marinade combining soy, ginger, and brown sugar notes.
🌶️ Jalapeño: Seasoned with real diced jalapeño peppers to deliver mild chilli heat.
By offering the range in 10-count cartons, the brand aims to capture high-volume household pantry stocking and midday lunchbox preparation missions, addressing consumer price sensitivity within the premium dried meat category.
LiL' Links Mini Sticks and Clean-Label Formulations
Complementing the full-sized beef sticks, Jack Link's has developed LiL' Links, a bite-sized format packaged in three-count and six-count multipacks tailored for daytime snacking and travel:
🥩 Grass-Fed Beef: Formulated with 100% grass-fed beef, supplying between 5 and 6 grams of protein with zero sugar per stick.
🦃 Antibiotic-Free Turkey: A lean poultry option delivering 5 to 6 grams of protein with zero sugar, sourced from turkeys raised without antibiotics.
Both LiL' Links varieties are formulated under clean-label parameters, containing no added monosodium glutamate (MSG) and no artificial nitrates or nitrites. The single-portion sticks are engineered for portion-controlled consumption across children's lunchboxes, office pantries, and active sports occasions.
The launch aligns with shifting consumer perceptions regarding protein quality and dietary sourcing.
Data cited by Link Snacks indicates that 61% of surveyed consumers would select meat if restricted to a single dietary protein source, while 58% express higher trust in meat snacks for health and wellness benefits compared to processed protein bars or ready-to-drink shakes.
While the dried meat and meat stick sectors have experienced steady dollar gains in recent years, premium grass-fed and antibiotic-free offerings have historically traded at significant price premiums that limit recurring household volume. By pricing its grass-fed lines approximately 20% below established specialty competitors, Link Snacks aims to democratise premium protein claims, leveraging its manufacturing scale and supply chain infrastructure to broaden household penetration across mainstream grocery and mass retail channels.
