Global ingredients manufacturer Griffith Foods has reached an agreement with LipCo Foods Group to acquire its Plant-Tec production facility in Zgierz, near Łódź, Poland.

The acquisition expands Griffith Foods' manufacturing presence across Poland and Eastern Europe, providing additional processing capacity and operational flexibility in dry seasonings and coatings.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Manufacturing Expansion

Integrating the Zgierz production plant into Griffith Foods' regional operating network is structured to accelerate response times to regional customer demand while securing supply chain continuity across European markets.

The investment targets expanding regional market opportunities across Eastern Europe. Industry figures cited by the company indicate that Eastern Europe's sauces, seasonings, and spices market was valued at US$10.49 billion in 2025 and is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.83 per cent through 2030.

Poland continues to serve as an operational gateway for food manufacturing across emerging Eastern European consumer markets. Economic forecasts indicate the Polish economy will grow by 3.5 per cent in 2026, positioning the country among the fastest-growing major economies within the European Union.

The transaction allows both ingredient businesses to reallocate capital and operational resources toward targeted commercial priorities. LipCo Foods Group plans to redirect the capital generated from the divestment into its core food segments and product innovation pipelines.
