European temperature-controlled storage and logistics provider Constellation Cold Logistics has acquired Norwegian cold storage and food logistics operator Impruv Logistics AS.

The transaction adds 25,000 temperature-controlled pallet positions to Constellation's footprint, lifting its total storage capacity in Norway to 90,000 pallet positions alongside an expanded road transport network. The deal reinforces Constellation's Nordic operating platform, adding a newly constructed cold store facility situated in Southern Norway.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Asset Scale and Southern Norway Operating Hub

Impruv Logistics operates a modern cold storage and logistics facility located in Langangen, near Porsgrunn in Southern Norway.

The site, which commenced commercial operations in mid-December 2025, was established by food logistics and supply chain professionals to provide warehousing, temperature-controlled transit, and digital inventory tracking for regional food manufacturers, importers, and retail distributors.

Following the transaction, the Langangen operations will integrate into Constellation's Norwegian operating business, combining Impruv’s local customer portfolio with Constellation's existing cold-chain network.

"Impruv brings more to Constellation than additional cold storage capacity," said Jan Nielsen, Managing Director Nordics at Constellation. "We have been highly impressed by the team's deep understanding of food logistics and by the quality of the operation. We believe its industry expertise, customer-focused approach and operational know-how will make a valuable contribution across our broader network, while Constellation's scale and resources will support the next phase of growth for the business."

Morten Hagen Vanneviken, Chief Executive Officer of Impruv Logistics AS, added: "We have spent many years building businesses within food logistics and supply chain services, always looking for better ways to support customers and improve efficiency. Joining Constellation gives us the opportunity to continue that journey with a partner that understands our market, shares our long-term ambitions and brings the scale needed for the next phase of growth."

Digital Logistics Infrastructure and Systems Integration

The Langangen facility was developed around bespoke IT and warehouse management systems designed to provide real-time cold-chain visibility and stock rotation data for chilled and frozen food suppliers.

"When we established Impruv Logistics AS, our vision was to create logistics for the future with unique IT solutions that gave our partners a competitive edge," commented Bernt Ove Søvik, Chairman of the Board at Impruv Logistics AS. "Since opening mid-December 2025, the company has proven that we really have made our vision come true. When the site in Porsgrunn now becomes a part of Constellation, we are confident that the company has the best possibilities to develop further in a business that shares our view of how to develop great services for partners."

The operational integration will combine Impruv's proprietary warehouse management tools with Constellation's European operational standards, providing cross-border freight consolidation and export-import storage solutions for food processors operating across Scandinavia and continental Europe.

European Cold Chain Network Footprint

The acquisition advances Constellation's continuous expansion strategy across European food supply routes.

Operating as an independent provider of temperature-controlled storage and cold-chain distribution, Constellation currently maintains operations across ten European nations:

Pallet Storage Capacity: Command of more than 1.2 million temperature-controlled pallet spaces across Europe.

Norwegian Platform: Total national network expanded to 90,000 pallet positions following the addition of the 25,000-pallet Langangen site.

Geographic Scope: Multi-country operations servicing fresh food producers, frozen food manufacturers, grocery retailers, and international trading houses.

By integrating the Langangen hub into its pan-European network, Constellation strengthens freight connectivity between Southern Norway's coastal transport routes and Northern European consumer markets, giving food distributors scalable storage and cross-docking options across the Nordic region.
