Snack brand Cheez-It has announced a co-branded product collaboration with beer brand Coors Light to launch limited-edition Cheez-It Coors Light Beer Cheese-flavoured crackers. The release marks the first official beer brand partnership in the history of the Cheez-It brand.
Scheduled to hit US retail shelves in August 2026, the product is engineered to capture consumer demand during the transition from late-summer outdoor gatherings into the autumn sports and tailgating season.
Co-Branding Strategy
The partnership unites two established CPG and beverage portfolios, Kellanova's Cheez-It and Molson Coors' Coors Light, to leverage cross-category brand equity during peak seasonal snack purchasing windows.
By translating a traditional pub and tailgating dip profile into a shelf-stable baked snack, both manufacturers aim to engage adult consumers looking for savoury pairing options for social gathering occasions.
Nicole Sorensen, Vice President of Marketing for Cheez-It, stated that the development was focused on adapting popular cheese dip profiles into new formats for the brand's core consumer base.
Matt Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing for the Coors Family of Brands, noted that bringing Coors Light's flavour notes into a real-dairy baked cracker format allows the brand to extend its reach across game-day snacking occasions.
Product Formulation and Specifications
The limited-edition crackers combine Cheez-It’s standard real-cheese baked dough structure with a custom savoury seasoning profile developed to mirror beer cheese dip:
🧀 100% Real Cheese Base: Baked using standard real cheese dough to maintain the brand's traditional crunch and texture.
🍺 Beer Cheese Seasoning: Formulated with a savoury, tangy sauce profile complemented by subtle toasted spices.
Availability and Distribution
The Cheez-It Coors Light Beer Cheese flavoured crackers are scheduled for national deployment across US food, mass, and regional retail channels starting in August 2026.
The product will be offered in standard retail box packaging at a suggested retail price (SRP) of US$4.99, available for a limited time while supplies last through the autumn trading period.
