US-headquartered plant-based snack manufacturer Back to Nature has expanded its savoury snack portfolio with the national launch of two new additions to its Cheezy Crackers product line.


The rollout introduces White Chedda and Hot & Spicy flavours to the brand’s established plant-based portfolio. The expansion follows an initial exclusive pilot phase with Sprouts Farmers Market, with the products now transitioning into wider national retail and e-commerce distribution channels.


The brand’s category expansion is designed to address distinct consumer preferences highlighted by recent market research.


According to data from SNAC International’s 2025 State of the Industry Report, consumer demand for spicy flavours has increased by 15% year-on-year. Furthermore, findings from the 2025 Globe Newswire Cheese Snacks Market Report indicate that 62% of consumers agree that cheese profiles add flavour excitement to savoury snack options.


Prior to this launch, Back to Nature’s original Cheezy Crackers variant recorded over 100% year-on-year growth, demonstrating strong brand momentum in the plant-based dairy-alternative snack category.


According to Andrea Furber, Head of Marketing at Back to Nature, the introduction of the new flavours directly addresses consumer requests for dairy-free cheese alternatives and spicy profiles. She noted that the strong performance during the initial exclusive launch at Sprouts in March 2026 provided commercial validation ahead of the wider national rollout.


New Product Specifications and Ingredients

The new product lines maintain the brand’s focus on clean-label, plant-based formulations. The product specifications include:


🧀 White Chedda Cheezy Crackers – A plant-based alternative recreating a classic white cheddar profile, manufactured using non-GMO ingredients.


🔥 Hot & Spicy Cheezy Crackers – A plant-forward cracker formulated to deliver a balanced heat profile to appeal to younger, adventure-seeking snack consumers.


Both products are manufactured without artificial flavours, synthetic colours, or genetically modified organisms (non-GMO), aligning with the clean-label ingredient standards demanded by natural-channel grocery retailers.



Retail Distribution and Availability

Following the initial exclusive launch period at Sprouts Farmers Market, Back to Nature has secured broad physical and digital retail listings to support the commercial volume scale-up of the new line.


The products are currently rolling out to Whole Foods Market and Sprouts Farmers Market locations nationwide, alongside immediate availability on Amazon.


In addition to these launch partners, the wider Back to Nature portfolio of plant-based cookies and crackers continues to maintain active retail distribution across national supermarket, convenience, and e-commerce channels, including Target, Kroger, Publix, and Thrive Market.
