Valeo Foods Group, a major European producer of sweets and snacks, has announced an agreement to acquire 100% of Prestige-96 AD (Prestige). The move represents a significant step in the Group’s long-term strategy to consolidate market-leading local brands under its umbrella and reinforces its ambition to become a dominant force in the European sweet treats sector.
Strategic Growth in the European Snacking Market
The acquisition of Prestige is Valeo Foods Group’s eighth transaction since 2022. This deal highlights the company’s continued focus on European expansion and the integration of iconic local brands. By bringing Prestige into the portfolio, Valeo Foods intends to accelerate its growth within Bulgaria and the surrounding regions.
The Group expects the integration to unlock strategic value through enhanced cross-selling opportunities and the utilization of Prestige’s established relationships with major retailers. Additionally, the deal provides a platform for expansion into adjacent snacking categories and broadens the international footprint of both organizations.
Market Position and Portfolio Strengths
Founded in 1996, Prestige has established itself as one of Bulgaria’s most trusted producers of biscuits, wafers, and sweet snacks. The company employs approximately 450 people and manages a portfolio of recognizable local brands, including Naya, Hyper, Mirage, and Roden Kray.
Prestige also brings modern, well-invested production and warehousing facilities to the Group. These assets are expected to enhance Valeo Foods’ overall production capacity, operational flexibility, and supply chain efficiency across Europe.

This acquisition follows a series of strategic moves by the Group to diversify its holdings and increase its operational scale in the highly competitive global snacking industry.
