Dairy Farmers of America, commonly known as DFA, is a national milk marketing cooperative in the US made up of more than 14,500 dairy farmer-members representing more than 8,500 dairy farms in all but two US states. Under the slogan ‘This Mark Matters’, DFA represents its farmer-members by portraying its milkdrop logo as a symbol of American-reared dairy, helping consumers to make more informed choices about the milk that they buy. As well as championing US farmers, DFA has become an advocate for sound environmental practices by investing in smart waste management techniques, renewable energy and efficient land use practices across its farmers. The cooperative itself is based in Kansas City.
