Beam Suntory integrates the spirits business of Suntory Liquors Limited with Beam, resulting in a company with a strong position in the global premium spirits market.


Beam heritage dates back to 1795 in Kentucky, US, when Jacob Beam sold his first barrel of whisky, laying the foundation for Jim Beam Bourbon. On 1 May 2014, Suntory completed the acquisition of all outstanding shares of Beam for $83.50 per share. As a result of the transaction, Beam was renamed Beam Suntory.
