The latest food and beverage industry news and trend analysis

Functional energy drink brand Celsius has announced a significant expansion of its portfolio in the United Kingdom and Ireland, confirming the launch of four new fruit-flavoured variants starting January 2026.

The rollout is strategically timed to coincide with the "New Year" period, traditionally associated with heightened consumer interest in health and wellness. The new SKUs reinforce the brand's core proposition of zero-sugar, fruit-forward energy.

The expansion introduces four new "Sparkling" variants to the core line-up, designed to broaden appeal beyond traditional energy drink flavour profiles:

🍑🍓 Sparkling Raspberry Peach

đŸ„đŸ‹ Sparkling Mango Lemonade

đŸ„đŸˆ Sparkling Kiwi Guava

🍉🍓 Sparkling Strawberry Watermelon

Strategic Rationale

Garrett Quigley, President of Celsius International, positioned the launch as a move to capture evolving consumer needs:

“We are excited for consumers in the UK and Ireland to experience the latest innovation from Celsius arriving from January. We believe the zero sugar, fruit-forward flavours that distinguish Celsius from traditional energy drinks align with consumers' evolving needs for great taste without compromise. This innovation is designed to bring new consumers into the growing energy category, drive growth and be a meaningful contributor to higher basket value for our retailers.”

In a first for the region, selected flavours—specifically Raspberry Peach and Mango Lemonade—will be available in multipack formats, signaling a move towards planned consumption occasions alongside impulse purchases.

The full range will be stocked across major retailers, convenience stores, and gyms throughout the UK and Ireland.
