Krispy Kreme® has announced the strategic return of its chocolate-focused platform, "Chocomania," unveiling a four-SKU collection developed in partnership with Hershey's.
The launch employs a scarcity marketing tactic, with the "extra-delectable" range available at participating shops nationwide for a strict six-day window, running from Tuesday, 27 January through Sunday, 1 February.
The 'Gone Glazed' Concept
The 2026 iteration of Chocomania differentiates itself through a specific technical innovation: all doughnuts in the collection are finished with a Hershey's® chocolate glaze, replacing the standard sugar glaze to intensify the chocolate profile from the base up.
The Collection:
🍰🍫 Chocolate Cheesecake Doughnut: A Hershey's Chocolate Original Glazed® doughnut topped with a cheesecake swirl and finished with Hershey's mini chocolate chips.
🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookie Doughnut: Features the chocolate-glazed base dipped in chocolate icing and topped with Hershey's Chocolate Chip Cookie Crunch.
🌈 Chocolate Party Doughnut: The chocolate-glazed ring decorated with Hershey's chocolate drizzle and rainbow nonpareils for visual pop.
🍩 Hershey's Chocolate Original Glazed® Doughnut: The foundational innovation—an Original Glazed® doughnut completely covered in Hershey's® chocolate glaze.
Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme Chief Brand and Product Officer, commented on the partnership's focus on indulgence:
"America loves chocolate, and we love partnering with HERSHEY’S to create the most craveable and delicious chocolate doughnuts. These Chocomania doughnuts, all being glazed with rich HERSHEY'S for the first time, elevates the taste and indulgence to create a chocolate experience you won’t want to miss. Chocomania ‘gone glazed’ is chocolate done right!”
Commercial Availability
The collection is available immediately at participating locations across the US, but the short sales window (ending 1 February) suggests a strategy designed to drive immediate high-volume footfall rather than sustained category growth.
