Nestlé UK and Ireland has named Gordon Yule as the Business Executive Officer of its newly established Nutrition and Health business unit, effective 1 June 2026.
The appointment comes as Nestlé integrates its Nestlé Nutrition and Nestlé Health Science divisions into a single operation. The restructuring is designed to consolidate the company’s expertise, science, and research capabilities to support consumer health, nutrition, and wellbeing across different life stages.
In his new capacity, Yule will lead the unified organisation across the UK and Ireland, working to align the respective leadership teams, ensure operational continuity, and drive commercial momentum during the transition period.
Integration and Division Performance
Yule brings extensive leadership experience in the food, beverage, and wellness sectors to the role. He initially joined Nestlé Health Science from the Bountiful organisation.
Over the past four years, Yule managed the integration of the Nestlé Health Science business, aligning its corporate teams and brand portfolio. During his tenure, Nestlé Health Science became the fastest-growing medical nutrition business in the UK and Ireland. Additionally, the company's Solgar brand secured its position as the leading premium vitamin brand in the regional market.
The corporate restructure aims to build on these performance metrics by combining resources to capture further market share across both medical and consumer-facing nutritional categories.
Direction and Category Expansion
The creation of the consolidated Nutrition and Health business unit will allow Nestlé to streamline its approach to key consumer segments. The unified organisation will focus on driving innovation across its core categories whilst expanding its presence in emerging wellness sectors.
The primary product categories for the combined division include:
Core Segments: Accelerating research and product development in infant nutrition and medical nutrition.
Expansion Segments: Developing new offerings in adult nutrition, with a focus on women's health, weight management, active lifestyles, protein-focused dietary options, and healthy longevity.
According to Yule, the merger of the two divisions presents an opportunity to scale the business's science-backed offerings for consumers, patients, and healthcare partners. By leveraging the combined strengths of both teams, the organisation intends to accelerate its long-term growth and pipeline development in the UK and Irish markets.
