Fermented beverage producer Momo Kombucha has renewed its strategic collaboration with speciality produce supplier Natoora to launch a seasonal limited edition: Carmelo’s Green Mandarin Kombucha.

This innovative offering leverages Natoora's direct sourcing network to introduce a unique flavour profile to the functional beverage market, blending Momo's unfiltered kombucha with the rare tardivo di Ciaculli mandarin from Sicily.

Product Specification and Availability

The new release is positioned as a premium seasonal product, priced at £4.50 for a 330ml bottle. It will be stocked at high-end retailers including Planet Organic, Whole Foods Market, Gail’s Bakery, and Selfridges.

Sourcing & Formulation: The key ingredient is the green mandarin, harvested during a short window between October and November. This early harvest captures the fruit's aromatic oils before they fully ripen, offering a complex, vibrant flavour profile that Momo preserves for the winter months. The kombucha base maintains the brand's standard quality protocols: small-batch brewing, organic teas, and slow-pressed juices.

Sustainability and The Farm Fund

The partnership extends beyond product development into corporate social responsibility (CSR). Momo Kombucha has confirmed that proceeds from sales will be donated to Natoora’s Farm Fund, an initiative dedicated to empowering young farmers and fostering sustainable agricultural practices.

Josh Puddle, Founder of Momo Kombucha, commented on the return of the collaboration:

“We’re thrilled to launch our new Green Mandarin Kombucha for a second year as part of our seasonal collaboration with Natoora. These green mandarins bring an exceptional, bold flavour that makes this kombucha truly unique.”

Franco Fubini, Founder of Natoora, highlighted the culinary impact of the ingredient: “Our partnership with Momo has been getting more exciting as the seasons progress. Together, we’ve been able to capture incredible flavours in a delicious, healthy drink.”

Fubini noted that the project aligns with Natoora's broader mission to revolutionise the supply chain by prioritising flavour and sustainability over traditional harvesting metrics.
